The first meeting of the new year for Book Bunch will be January 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The members will discuss the first 23 chapters of Uncle Tom's Cabin, by Harriet Beecher Stowe. (The members will cover the book in 2 months.) Published in 1852, the novel may have helped lay the groundwork for the Civil War. The final 22 chapters will be discussed at the February 13th meeting.
