Description:  Celebrating Montgomery County 1816-2016
Montgomery: 200 Years of Change
 
Description:  Dr. Keith Krawczynski will discuss Montgomery’s growth and change over the past 200 years, focusing on the years 1819, 1918, and 2016.
Presenter:  Dr. Keith Krawczynski, Scholars Without Walls Speakers’ Bureau, Auburn University Montgomery

The Sound of Music
Description:  The performers will play patriotic and Christmas Carols using a hammered dulcimer which is a percussion instrument and stringed instrument with the strings typically stretched over a trapezoidal sounding board in which the strings are beaten with small hammers.

Yoga Class
Event Location: Rufus A. Lewis Regional Library
Intended Audience: Adults
Description:  Description:  This course is an introduction to the ancient practice of Yoga.  Through a series of gentle Yoga Poses, participants will experience a sense of well-being and relaxation.  Comfortable, form-fitting, but stretchy clothing is recommended.  Participants of all levels of health, mobility, and flexibility are encouraged to attend as Yoga Poses can be adapted for comfort.

Description:  Children will enjoy the movie “Lorax”.  A 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of a girl. To find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax. Children will also enjoy songs and craft.
