Description:  Today we will be discussing “The Dressmaker’s War”, by Mary Chamberlain, a historical fiction account of an English seamstress taken prisoner in Germany during WWII.  In this novel it tells of Ada Vaughan while describing her perseverance, the choices she must make to stay alive, and the haunting aftermath of the war.  Then, we will receive “A Land More Kind than Home”, by Wiley Cash, a story about the bond between two brothers and the evil they face in a small western North Carolina town.
