COMPUTER LAB
The Internet and more is offered in our Computer Lab, located on the second floor of the Juliette Hampton Morgan Memorial Library of the Montgomery City-County Public Library.  The computer lab was established in 1998 with a gift from the Gates Library Foundation. The lab and computer equipment are supported today through funding by the City of Montgomery, the Montgomery County Commission, the Library Services and Technology Act, and the federal e-rate program.
 
Join us and learn to use:  Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and more.

Monday through Wednesday:  9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Thursday and Friday:  9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday:  9:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Sunday:  2:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

TUESDAY ADULT CLASSES
Tuesday adult classes are held on the first, second, and third Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 a.m.
  
December 6, 2016 – Internet for Beginners 
Students learn how to access the Internet and surf the Web. The course examines the makeup of Web addresses and teaches how to find information using search engines.
 
December 13, 2016 – Word I (MS Office 2010)
Microsoft Word is used to create documents and letters. this course covers basic features such as ribbon, tabs, and scrolling. Students learn to enter and select text, double space, and print. Word Art and Clip Art are also covered.

December 20, 2016 – Excel I (MS Office 2010)
Microsoft Excel is used to create spreadsheets, which are used to organize information or to do numerical record-keeping. The course covers creating a basic spreadsheet and a chart.


 

SATURDAY CHILDREN'S CLASSES
The first Saturday of every month is for 1st-4th Grades 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM  and 5th-8th Grades 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM
 
December 3, 2016 – Publisher I (MS Office 2010)
Students will learn how to create holiday greeting cards and invitations using Publisher.

SATURDAY ADULT CLASSES
Saturday adult classes are held on the third Saturday of every month at 10:00 a.m.
 
December 17, 2016 – PowerPoint I (MS Office 2010)
Students will learn basic functions of this program to create presentations, including adding graphics and multimedia.
